Fishermen is a term for people who do its stuff daily to catch fish or extra biota that live on the bottom, column or surface of the water. The waters that become the place of upheaval of these fishermen can be fresh, brackish or sea water. In developing countries such as in Southeast Asia or in Africa, there are still many fishermen who use easy equipment in fishing. Fishermen in developed countries usually use innovative equipment and large vessels equipped like highly developed technology.
Eidman (1991) divides fishermen into two categories, namely cultivator fishermen and owner fishermen.
